Iran's absolute leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has assailed a
two-state band-aid for Israel and the Palestinians, adage the
Palestinian bid for statehood at the United Nations is bedevilled to
fail.
Any plan to bisect a Palestinian accompaniment would be unacceptable,
Khamenei said on Saturday, abacus that such a accompaniment could abide
briefly as allotment of "liberated territory".
"Our affirmation is abandon of Palestine, not allotment of Palestine.
Any plan that partitions Palestine is absolutely rejected," Khamenei
told the gathering. "Palestine spans from the river [Jordan] to the
[Mediterranean] sea, annihilation less."
He added that the Palestinians should not absolute themselves to
gluttonous a country aural the active West Bank, east Jerusalem and the
Gaza Strip which would around recognise Israel because "all acreage
belongs to Palestinians."
Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, reacted angrily to
Khamenei's speech.
"The declarations of abhorrence from the ayatollah administration on the
ambition to abort the accompaniment of Israel reinforces the
government's abiding position for the aegis needs of Israel's citizens
and the appeal for acceptance of Israel as the Jewish state," Netanyahu
said.
Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, has asked the UN Aegis Council
to recognise an absolute Palestinian accompaniment in those areas,
which were captured by Israel in the 1967 war.
Israel and the US argue the UN bid, adage there is no acting for
absolute accord negotiations. But with Israel continuing to body
settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, Abbas says there is no
point in talking.
Khamenei, who batten at a pro-Palestinian appointment in Tehran, alleged
Israel a "cancerous tumour" that should be removed.
Iran supports the Palestinian Hamas group, which rules Gaza and which
does not aback the statehood bid pushed by Abbas and his Western-backed
Fatah movement.
The appointment in Tehran was abounding by arch Palestinian leaders,
including Syria-based Hamas arch Khaled Mashaal, who told the
acquisition that "resistance" was the alone advantage larboard for the
Palestinians.
